Not a walk in the park. Day 3 of the NYC SES conference is the day that a Women in SEO luncheon gathering took place a few blocks from the hotel. It was invite only, which meant I got to go because I’m a woman. Nothing else special. Like an engagement over TV or anything.
We beautiful women, about 35 of us, plus David Temple and Jim Hedger, who were there because they are men who have written pieces in honor of women (so has Danny Sullivan but he was understandably busy.) By the way, Mr. Sullivan is being interviewed behind me as I write this. Rand Fishkin is two chairs down, Barry Schwartz is on my right and his sidekick, Tamar, is on my left.
Jim Lanzone, CEO of Ask.com, has confirmed with me that Ask.com is working on Edison. Edison is the code name behind merging of Ask.com’s two different search technologies they own, Teoma and Direct Hit.
were announced yesterday. I was shocked to find myself on the list. And very honored.

Why is she hot?
Kim Krause Berg writes on one of the most prominent woman-authored SEO blogs at Cre8pc. She also writes for just about every other SEO publication on the planet, including Search Engine Guide, High Rankings, WebProNews, Search Engine Round Table and SearchNewz. She’s also one of just a few work at home moms who mixes SEO and family on her blog, which makes Cre8pc a must read for any mom who gets riled up about Google juice (like me!!)
More to come!
